Sierra Learners Scholars.

Children in and around the Congo Town Community and some in our schools receive scholarship every year once they are enrolled in schools. In 2016 our first two students were identified from FAWE Primary School, and we have increased our awarding of scholarships since. with 20 children in 2020, 19 in 2021 and due to the flooding disaster in the Lismore area in Australia where most of our sponsors resided, we have had a shortfall of sponsorship which we hope will increase in the coming year. We monitor our sponsored students school work and assist where we can with challenges that arise.

A visit to Logos Hope Floating Library.

It was during school holidays, and what perfect time to organise a trip for the children to explore books galore on the Logos Hope floating library that docked into the Freetown port just before Christmas in 2021. It was an exciting trip for them and a memorable one too, that has impacted their love for books.

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Distribution of scholarship purse.

“The money came at the right time when I was greatly in need to help with my daughters schooling”. was how one mother expressed our ‘giving’ day. These money assist to buy the children’s school materials, and more importantly, much need fees for extra tuition.
