Every child has a right to Easy

Access to quality education

We set up or refurbish libraries and employ library teachers in disadvantaged schools and communities in Sierra Leone. We give scholarships to children facing financial difficulties

  • Being able to read is important to ensure a successful future for all children. Many children in Sierra Leone do not have access to books, and cannot read and write. Our teachers help them in simple and creative ways to read and love to read

  • In 2012, when our charity was first established, about 50% of young people could not read or write. Sierra Learners provides educational opportunities to children who would otherwise be left behind.

  • Since 2012 we have supported schools, communities, learning institutions, organisations and the Sierra Leone Library Board. Three computer centres were equipped with computers to provide easy access to information

Our Vision

To reduce illiteracy among children and provide lifelong learning that can lead to an enriching life.

Our Mission

To provide easy access to quality education for disadvantaged children in schools and communities through libraries and scholarships.

Our purpose is not only to provide reading resources for children through libraries, we engage the services of young capable women as library teachers to be there for the children in their reading journey.
